Logan Trademark Snapshot

It is interesting to note the breadth, depth, and diversity of intellectual property in Logan, Utah and its surrounding communities. For example, as 2010 comes to an end, there are approximately five hundred and forty-six (546) pending or registered domestic (i.e. U.S.) trademarks in cache valley. Just under one-half of those trademarks are owned by fifteen (15) companies: (1) icon; (2) Harris research (chem-dry); (3) Baicor; (4) Saddleman (automotive innovations); (5) Wescor; (6) Reminderband (ifrogz); (7) Malouf; (8) USU; (9) Gossner foods; (10) Global accessories (covercraft); (11) Hyclone labs (Thermo scientific); (12) International sports specialists (down under sports); (13) Campbell scientific; (14) Ingeo systems; and (15) Logan outdoor products (camp chef).

The remainder of Logan area domestic trademarks (better stated – the majority) are owned by one hundred and seventy-three (173) different entities, each of which owns ten (10) or fewer trademarks. I hope to post a similar snapshot for Logan area patents in the next month.
